Pattern
A billet of material is heated and pressed into die until the pattern is formed. The die is hand made using sambar stag as the pattern. The grip outline and form of the grip is machined using a 5 axis CNC mill.
The grip looks like and the texture feels like a traditional sambar stag.
Back
The back of every S.O.I. grip is milled flat except for a machined recess that is finished in a spiral. The recess reduces the weight by about 30 percent. There is also a counterbore for the mainspring housing pin. The counterbore allows the grip to be full profile with no notches.
Material
The copper used to forge TextureTech is pure copper.
Note
We continually improve our processes and products. Improvements are incorporated as quickly as possible. The latest models of grips may not match older models.
