Pattern
The Norse pattern is a series of interlocking tri-lobes with a small triangle in the center. The side of the tri-lobes are curved in and tips are rounded. The pattern goes to the edge and is machined using a 5 axis CNC mill.
This grip is smooth and comfortable to hold with a little texture.
Back
The back of every S.O.I. grip is milled flat except for a machined recess that is finished in a spiral. The recess reduces the weight by about 30 percent. There is also a counterbore for the mainspring housing pin. The counterbore allows the grip to be full profile with no notches.
Material
7075 aluminum is strong and lightweight. It is harder than other aluminum alloys and takes longer to machine. After machining, the grips are anodized using the Type III process. This increases the surface hardness and wear resistance of the aluminum.
Note
We continually improve our processes and products. Improvements are incorporated as quickly as possible. The latest models of grips may not match older models.
